Cryptocurrency Market Sees $359 Million in Liquidations in 24 Hours
In a significant downturn in the cryptocurrency market, approximately $359 million worth of positions were liquidated within the last 24 hours, affecting over 100,000 traders. Data from CoinGlass indicates that a total of 103,612 individuals experienced liquidations during this period.
The majority of the liquidated positions were long positions, which accounted for about $281 million, representing 78.3% of the total liquidations. Short positions contributed approximately $78.1 million to the overall figure.
The largest single liquidation occurred on Binance's SOXSUSDT trading pair, amounting to around $7.3 million. This wave of liquidations highlights the volatility and risks associated with trading in the cryptocurrency market.
