Qubic Suspends Network Operations Following $1.3 Million Theft
Qubic has announced the suspension of its network after a significant security breach resulted in the theft of $1.3 million worth of cryptocurrency. The company reported that 87.1% of the stolen QU tokens remain immobilized on its network, indicating that a large portion of the assets is still secured despite the incident.
In response to the theft, the cryptocurrency exchange MEXC has taken action by freezing the account that received the remaining funds. This move aims to prevent further loss and assist in the recovery of the stolen assets. Qubic's decision to halt network operations reflects the seriousness of the breach and the company's commitment to ensuring the security of its users' funds.
