Eight U.S. states sue OpenAI, alleging ChatGPT harms children
PANews, October 15 — According to Reuters, eight U.S. states, including Iowa and Kansas, said on Wednesday local time that they have filed lawsuits against OpenAI in courts across the country, accusing its chatbot ChatGPT of harming children and alleging that it had incited children to harm themselves or others. Previously, Florida became the first to sue OpenAI in June this year and in September asked a court to bar it from developing new models.
