Evernorth Appoints Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse as Strategic Advisor
Evernorth Holdings has appointed Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, as a strategic advisor. This announcement, made public in January 2026, also includes Ripple executive Stuart Alderoty and former Ripple CTO David Schwartz joining in advisory roles. The company, which is listed on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN, focuses on holding XRP and aims to align closely with the broader XRP ecosystem while maintaining its operational independence.
Evernorth was formed through a business combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II, a special purpose acquisition company, in October 2025. The merger raised over $1 billion, with $200 million contributed by Japanese financial group SBI Holdings. The company currently holds approximately 473 million XRP, valued at around $648 million at the time of reporting.
To leverage its treasury, Evernorth has established partnerships with major players in the cryptocurrency space, including Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase, and BitGo. These collaborations aim to deploy its XRP into institutional strategies, while also working with Doppler Finance to enhance liquidity and treasury management on the XRP Ledger. CEO Asheesh Birla, a former Ripple executive, oversees the company's operations, focusing on blending traditional finance with crypto investment strategies.
