Coinbase and Deribit Introduce Six New Equity Perpetual Futures Markets
Coinbase and Deribit have launched six new equity perpetual futures markets, providing non-US traders with leveraged exposure to major companies such as Oracle, Palantir, and Dell. The new contracts became available on October 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM UTC, marking a significant expansion in Coinbase's offerings as it aims to become a comprehensive trading platform for various asset classes.
The newly introduced markets include contracts for CoreWeave (CRWV), Oracle (ORCL), Palantir Technologies (PLTR), Dell (DELL), and two ETF-linked products, with SOXS tracking the Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bear 3X Shares ETF. All contracts settle in cash using USDC, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, allowing traders to engage in 24/7 trading without the constraints of traditional stock exchange hours.
This launch follows Coinbase's acquisition of Deribit in August 2025 for approximately $2.9 billion, with the integration of the two platforms completed just prior to this rollout. The new equity perpetuals are designed to enhance access for international traders, as US persons are excluded from these products due to regulatory restrictions. The introduction of these markets aligns with Coinbase's broader strategy to unify trading across multiple asset classes under its 'Everything Exchange' initiative.
