Google Play now lets users privately publish AI-generated personal apps

PANews, October 14 — According to TechCrunch, Google announced that users can use Google AI Studio to generate Android apps with AI and privately publish them directly through Google Play using a regular Google account for personal use, with no programming experience required. These personal apps will not appear in Play Store search results or listings, are accessible only to the creator, and must comply with Google Play's existing policies. The feature is initially available only to users aged 18 and older in the United States. Google plans to support sharing apps with a small circle of friends and family in the coming months, and apps that gain traction can be officially listed on the Play Store after a trust and safety review.
