      HSBC Unveils 'RedCoin' Stablecoin for Hong Kong Market

      HSBC has announced the launch of a new stablecoin named 'RedCoin', specifically designed for the Hong Kong market. This digital currency, pegged to the Hong Kong dollar, is set to be rolled out in the second half of 2026. Initially, the stablecoin will be available through the bank's PayMe platform and the HSBC HK Mobile App, targeting retail customers in the region.
