Pendle Finance Launches Fixed-Yield Market for USDG Stablecoin on Robinhood Chain
Pendle Finance has introduced a fixed-yield market for USDG, a stablecoin issued by Paxos, on Robinhood Chain as of September 30, 2026. This new offering allows users to secure a predetermined return on a T-bill-backed asset, avoiding the fluctuations associated with traditional lending vaults. The fixed yield is set to mature in March 2027, providing a stable investment option for users.
Prior to this launch, Robinhood Earn provided yield on USDG through Morpho lending vaults, which offered an approximate annual percentage yield (APY) of 7%, subject to market conditions. The integration of Pendle enables users to bypass this uncertainty by locking in a fixed return at the time of purchase, based on market pricing.
USDG is backed 1:1 by USD reserves, including short-term US Treasury securities, and is regulated in both Singapore and Europe. The introduction of Pendle's fixed-yield product marks a significant development within the Global Dollar Network, which includes major players like Robinhood and Kraken. This network operates on a revenue-sharing model, incentivizing members to promote USDG across their platforms.
The launch of a fixed-yield product on a regulated stablecoin addresses key concerns regarding transparency and stability in decentralized finance (DeFi). With a clear maturity date and a yield source tied to US government debt, this offering could signal growing institutional interest in DeFi products.
