Infosys Collaborates with Chainlink to Enhance Onchain Finance for 1.7 Billion Bank Accounts

Infosys, a major Indian IT services company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker INFY, has announced a significant partnership with Chainlink to integrate blockchain technology into its banking infrastructure. This collaboration aims to connect over 1.7 billion customer accounts globally to blockchain networks, potentially transforming the financial services landscape.

The partnership involves the incorporation of Chainlink's comprehensive suite of blockchain tools into Infosys's existing financial systems. Key components of this integration include the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), which facilitates the movement of data and tokens across different blockchains, as well as the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), the Automated Compliance Engine (ACE), and various data services essential for real-time financial operations.

This strategic move follows Chainlink's recent collaboration with Bottomline, a payments technology firm, which targeted over 600 banks and aimed to streamline blockchain access through established financial messaging standards. Infosys's extensive relationships with major banks and payment networks across Asia, Europe, and the Americas position it uniquely to leverage this technology at scale, enhancing institutional access to blockchain without requiring significant IT overhauls.
