Mesh Partners with Visa to Enable Crypto Payments at 175 Million Merchants

Mesh has announced a partnership with Visa that will allow users to spend their cryptocurrency and stablecoin balances at over 175 million merchant locations globally. This collaboration was unveiled on October 19, 2026, during the Money20/20 conference in San Francisco, with Mesh CEO Bam Azizi highlighting it as a solution to the 'last-mile problem' in crypto spending.

The partnership enables users to make purchases directly with their digital assets without the need for prior conversion or preloading a card. Mesh's infrastructure manages funding, conversion, and routing in real time at the point of sale, issuing a Visa credential that merchants recognize as a standard Visa transaction. As a result, merchants receive payments in fiat currency without altering their existing payment processes or systems.

Visa's extensive network, which processed $14.2 trillion in payments volume in fiscal 2025, provides significant reach for this initiative. Mesh, which has raised over $130 million in funding and serves more than 200 enterprises, aims to connect millions of users through this integration. The partnership follows a recent collaboration with Tokenstore, announced just days prior to the Money20/20 event.

For cryptocurrency holders, this development offers greater convenience, allowing stablecoin balances to function similarly to traditional checking accounts. The partnership is expected to enhance the legitimacy of crypto assets by integrating them into established payment systems, while merchants will continue to receive payments in fiat, maintaining their current operational workflows.
