Metric Launches Decentralized Exchange for Tokenized US Stocks on BNB Chain
On October 14, 2026, Metric launched a decentralized exchange (DEX) on the BNB Chain, allowing users to trade bStocks, which are BEP-20 tokens representing US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). This new platform aims to enhance trading and liquidity provision for tokenized equities, utilizing off-chain price feeds to anchor trading prices rather than relying solely on on-chain mechanisms.
bStocks, which debuted on June 11, 2026, are designed to provide a tokenized version of US equities, and they have quickly gained traction, accounting for approximately 85% of the tokenized equity DEX volume by July 2026. The launch of Metric's DEX is expected to offer BNB Chain users an additional venue for trading these assets, with pricing linked to external market data, thereby increasing the choices available to traders.
Metric's DEX employs a unique provisioned automated market maker (propAMM) model, which integrates external oracles, including Chainlink Data Streams, to ensure that pool prices reflect off-chain market rates. This design aims to facilitate continuous trading of real-world asset tokens and enhance interoperability with other decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols on the BNB Chain, such as PancakeSwap. With a reported cumulative trading volume exceeding $10 billion, Metric's entry into the market is poised to significantly impact the trading landscape for tokenized equities.
