HEX founder Richard Heart arrested in Istanbul
PANews reported on October 14, citing Bitcoin.com News and Turkish media outlet Sözcü, that Richard Heart, founder of HEX and the L1 blockchain PulseChain, was detained in a joint operation by Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and police at a residence in Istanbul. The operation seized approximately $4 million in cash, 53 Rolex and 11 Patek Philippe high-end watches, firearms and ammunition, and a large amount of electronic equipment. His wife A.K. was also detained.
The U.S. SEC previously accused him of raising over $1 billion through unregistered securities offerings related to these projects and of misappropriating at least $12 million to purchase luxury goods. The related lawsuit was dismissed in 2025 on jurisdictional grounds. In addition, Heart is wanted by Finnish authorities on suspicion of serious tax evasion and assault.
