Binance Warns iPhone Users of Malicious FomoPeek Application

Binance has issued a security warning to iPhone users regarding the FomoPeek application, which has been identified as containing malicious code capable of exploiting vulnerabilities in the iOS operating system. Security firms, including SlowMist, have reported that versions 1.1 to 1.2 of FomoPeek can gain maximum permissions on affected devices, potentially allowing access to sensitive information such as private keys, mnemonic phrases, and login credentials.

Users are advised to check if they have installed the FomoPeek application on devices running iOS 26.x or earlier. If both conditions apply, Binance recommends immediate action, including deleting the application and updating the iOS system to the latest version. Additionally, users with self-hosted wallets should create a new wallet on a device that has never had FomoPeek installed and transfer their assets to this new wallet address.

Binance emphasizes the importance of not installing applications from untrusted sources and keeping device software up to date to mitigate security risks. Users who notice any unusual activity with their assets are encouraged to retain their affected devices and contact customer service for further assistance.
