Ripple: Asset Managers Are Preparing for the XRP Ledger's Batch V1.1 Upgrade
PANews reported on September 19, citing CoinDesk, that Ripple said asset managers and other commercial projects are preparing to use the XRP Ledger's Batch V1.1 upgrade. The feature can combine up to eight transactions into a single operation, ensuring that all transactions either succeed or are canceled together, avoiding a situation where one party completes while another fails. RippleX engineering lead Ayo Akinyele said this is especially important for scenarios where assets and payments need to be completed simultaneously. The amendment has received support from 30 of 35 tracked validators, exceeding the 28 votes needed to enter the activation countdown. The countdown began at 14:06:41 UTC on September 15, and if support remains above 80% for 14 days, it is expected to activate after the same time on September 29. Previously, Batch V1.0 was never activated due to a signature verification vulnerability, and RippleX redesigned it and released it with xrpld 3.3.0.
