Derive Launches New Perpetual Contracts for $DRV and $F Tokens with 5x Leverage
Derive, an onchain derivatives platform formerly known as Lyra Finance, has introduced two new perpetual futures contracts for its governance token $DRV and the $F token, which tracks the stock price of Ford Motor Company. This launch allows traders to utilize leverage of up to 5x on both contracts, marking a significant addition to the platform's offerings.
This announcement follows Derive's recent V3 upgrade, which was unveiled on September 14, 2026. The upgrade aims to enhance the platform's functionality and increase transaction throughput. Derive has established itself as a leader in onchain options activity, processing billions in cumulative notional volume since its inception in 2021.
The $DRV token, which has a maximum supply of 1.5 billion, allocates 35% of its fees toward weekly buybacks. In addition to the new contracts, Derive has been expanding its collateral options, recently adding support for FXRP, and is exploring ways to increase access for institutional traders. The platform also offers staking opportunities for $DRV holders, allowing them to earn rewards and receive trading fee discounts.
