Data: Base Chain Vault Attack Losses Expand to About $6 Million
PANews reported on October 4 that Spot On Chain analysis indicates the vault attack on the Base chain has expanded to about $6 million (approximately 1,783 wstETH).
The attacker added a new contract to the vault whitelist, borrowed aBaswstETH from the vault, and transferred it to the attacker's contract. The attacker's address is 0x0B5126...B034. Systemic risk is currently limited, but caution is needed over the short-term pressure that the attacker's potential sale of wstETH could place on the pegged price of liquid staking tokens (LST).
