Vitalik Buterin Tests Privacy-Focused AI Health System
Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has initiated a personal experiment aimed at generating tailored diet and exercise recommendations by utilizing personal health and travel data. This innovative system combines local models with advanced remote models while prioritizing user privacy. The architecture consists of three layers designed to protect identity: an Identity Layer that employs a local model to construct query requests, a Payment Layer that utilizes zkAPI to conceal payment information, and a Network Layer that obscures IP addresses through the Tor network.
The system is currently operational, but Buterin has identified several limitations. He noted that the Tor network suffers from inefficiencies and high latency, which complicates the unlinking of requests. Additionally, the local model operates at a rate of only 20-30 transactions per second (TPS), while a seamless user experience would require over 100 TPS. Furthermore, he pointed out that the stricter the data protection measures, the more restricted the assistance from the remote model becomes.
Buterin has submitted the relevant code for this privacy protection system to the Ethereum zkAPI repository, contributing to the ongoing development of privacy-focused technologies within the blockchain community.
