Second Tampered Ledger Reported from MediaMarkt, Recall Requested
A buyer has reported a second instance of a tampered Ledger device purchased from MediaMarkt, a major electronics retailer in Germany. The buyer identified the distributor as Aqipa and has sent the device to Ledger for further analysis. This incident follows a previous report involving a similar tampering issue, raising concerns about the integrity of products sold through the retailer.
Ledger Support has confirmed that the cases of tampering are linked to a specific issue involving CryptoBilis, a term associated with counterfeit or compromised devices. The company is currently investigating the reports to ensure the safety and security of its products. In light of these developments, the buyer is calling for a recall of the affected devices to prevent further incidents.
