Tom Lee: $2 Trillion in Wealth Transfer Over Next 3 Years Could Boost Demand for Crypto Assets

PANews reported on October 12, citing CoinDesk, that Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine Immersion Technologies, said the intergenerational wealth transfer taking place over the coming years could become an important factor driving the next round of crypto market demand. According to data from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Fundstrat research, approximately $1.5 trillion to $2 trillion in wealth is expected to be transferred between generations between 2026 and 2028. Because younger investors who inherit wealth generally have a higher risk appetite, they may increase their allocation to risk assets such as crypto assets and stocks.

Tom Lee added that Wall Street's accelerating adoption of blockchain technology for asset tokenization, the development of AI applications, and treasury companies that hold crypto assets over the long term could also become drivers of future market growth.
