Token Terminal Expands Coverage with Five Tokenized Stocks on Solana
Token Terminal has expanded its real-world asset dashboard by adding five tokenized stocks on the Solana blockchain, which collectively have a market cap of approximately $1.7 million. This update is part of a broader enhancement that includes 145 new tokenized asset deployments from three new issuers: Backpack, Anchored Finance, and xStocks.
With this latest addition, Token Terminal now tracks over 4,600 assets from more than 310 issuers across 45 different blockchains. The total market capitalization of all assets on the platform is around $345 billion, with stablecoins making up about 94% of that figure. Excluding stablecoins, the remaining tokenized stocks, bonds, and other real-world assets total approximately $20.7 billion.
Backpack's tokenized stocks are notable for their 1:1 redemption model, allowing holders to redeem tokens for actual shares through authorized brokers. This structure reduces counterparty risk and provides a pathway for holders to transition back into traditional finance. In contrast, xStocks has adopted a volume-first strategy, launching over 700 tokenized US equities and ETFs. Token Terminal's efforts aim to create a standardized framework for comparing tokenized assets, addressing the current fragmentation in the real-world asset space.
