Tokenized US Stock Platform Spout Secures $2 Million in Strategic Financing

Spout, a platform specializing in tokenized US stock collateral lending, has successfully completed a strategic financing round, raising $2 million. The funding round saw participation from a range of investors, including Draper Dragon, Anchorage, Flow Traders, Taisu Ventures, Vessel VC, Solayer Labs, and several others, including notable figures such as former CFTC chairman Chris Giancarlo and Solana co-founder Toly.

The platform allows users to collateralize tokenized US stocks to borrow USDC at a fixed loan-to-value ratio of 50%. Notably, Spout does not charge interest during the loan period. Instead, lenders earn income through premiums generated from selling covered call options on the collateral on a weekly basis, providing a unique approach to stock lending.

This financing round is expected to enhance Spout's capabilities and expand its offerings in the growing market for tokenized assets, which has gained traction among investors seeking innovative financial solutions.
