A U.S. judge has denied a request from cryptocurrency exchange Gemini to lift restrictions imposed by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) following a settlement. The ruling maintains a permanent injunction against the company, which includes limitations on publicly denying the findings of the case.
Gemini has already complied with the settlement by paying a $5 million penalty. The court's decision ensures that the restrictions on the company's public statements regarding the case's findings will remain in effect, reinforcing the regulatory oversight in the cryptocurrency sector.
