US police arrest two suspects accused of posing as delivery drivers in home-invasion robberies targeting crypto holders

PANews, October 1 – According to the San Jose Police Department (SJPD), two men from Dallas, Texas, Damian Vielma (20) and Jeremiah Clybourn (19), were arrested on suspicion of attempted armed home-invasion robbery while posing as delivery drivers. At around 9:30 p.m. on September 5, 2026, the two attempted to deliver a package at a residence in South San Jose; one of them wore a ski mask and brandished a firearm before fleeing in a vehicle. An SJPD Robbery Unit investigation found that the suspects typically posed as delivery drivers and targeted victims holding large amounts of crypto assets, and the case may also involve Atherton and other locations. On September 24, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service, the Dallas Police Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the SJPD Covert Response Unit, the two were arrested in Dallas, where multiple firearms, including the firearm used in the crime, were seized. The two have been detained at the Dallas County Jail on charges of attempted robbery, vehicle theft, and firearms-related offenses, and are awaiting extradition to Santa Clara County.
