Bitcoin Faces Decline Amid Rising Oil Prices and Interest Rate Concerns

Bitcoin has experienced a downturn this week due to adverse macroeconomic factors. Initially, a significant drop in oil prices raised hopes of a de-escalation in geopolitical tensions, which provided some support to the cryptocurrency market. However, comments from former U.S. President Donald Trump at the United Nations General Assembly dampened these expectations, as he indicated that a deal with Iran would only be pursued after the upcoming November elections. This shift in sentiment contributed to a renewed rise in oil prices, negatively impacting cryptocurrencies.

The bearish trend intensified following the release of stronger-than-expected U.S. Flash Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) data, which led to a reassessment of interest rate expectations. As Treasury yields reached new highs, the overall risk sentiment in the market deteriorated, further pressuring Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Market participants are now closely monitoring developments in the Middle East and interest rate forecasts, as any signs of a breakthrough could potentially support Bitcoin by lowering oil prices.

Technical analysis indicates that Bitcoin has retraced to a support zone around 82,500. Buyers may look to this level for potential entry points, while sellers are poised to capitalize on any decline below this support. Resistance is noted at the 85,000 level, where sellers may emerge if the price rebounds. The upcoming meeting between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, along with U.S. jobless claims data, will also be key events to watch as they may influence market dynamics.
