Bitcoin Faces Key Support Test Amid Rising US Yields

Bitcoin has experienced a notable rally since hitting a low near $75,000 on September 16, climbing above the range of $81,517 to $82,833. This upward movement also surpassed the 38.2% retracement level of the decline from its October 2025 peak of approximately $126,272, which is set at $83,916. The cryptocurrency reached as high as $87,300 recently, but is now encountering challenges as market dynamics shift.

The rise in the US 10-year yield, which has increased by 16.8 basis points to 5.135%, coincides with a 1.28% decline in the Nasdaq index, contributing to a pullback in Bitcoin's price. Although some gains from earlier in the week are being relinquished, the price has not yet dropped sufficiently to indicate a loss of control by buyers. The critical levels to monitor include the $83,916 retracement level and the previous resistance zone of $81,517 to $82,833.

The significance of the $81,517 to $82,833 range lies in its previous role as resistance before the recent breakout. Traders often look for former resistance levels to act as support following a breakout. If Bitcoin retraces to this area and buyers re-enter, it would suggest continued bullish sentiment. Conversely, a drop below this range could lead to increased selling pressure as traders reassess their positions. Currently, the rally is under scrutiny, but key support levels remain intact.
