Bitcoin Price Struggles Below Key Moving Averages

Bitcoin is currently trading at $82,389, having reached a high of $84,254 earlier in the day. This peak allowed the cryptocurrency to surpass the 200-hour moving average, which is positioned at $83,877. However, the momentum did not sustain, leading to a decline as buyers shifted to sellers, resulting in the price dropping below the 100-hour moving average at $82,786.

Over the past 24 days, Bitcoin has fluctuated within a range of $80,106 to $87,374, with no significant break from this pattern. Despite attempts by buyers to push towards the upper limit, recent reversals have kept the price below both the 100- and 200-hour moving averages, indicating a bearish technical bias. Last week, the price briefly exceeded the 200-hour moving average but failed to maintain that level, leading to further downward pressure.

Currently, sellers are targeting the lower boundary of the swing area between $81,183 and $82,653. A drop below $81,183 could pave the way for a test of the September 20 low at $80,106. For buyers, reclaiming the 100-hour moving average at $82,786 is crucial, as surpassing this level along with the 200-hour moving average would provide them with a chance to regain control of the market.
