Oil Prices Rise Amid Stalled U.S.-Iran Negotiations

Brent crude oil prices increased by 2.5% to reach $106.92 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose by 2.3% to $94.49 per barrel. This surge follows the rejection of Iran's proposal by U.S. President Donald Trump, which aimed to resolve ongoing tensions and facilitate the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping route for oil exports.

Further discussions between the United States and Iran are anticipated in the coming week, as geopolitical tensions continue to influence the oil market. Additionally, recent Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabian targets have heightened concerns regarding regional stability, contributing to the volatility in oil prices.

Despite a recovery in Middle Eastern oil exports, analysts indicate that the market remains in a state of deficit, which is exerting upward pressure on oil prices. The combination of stalled diplomatic efforts and regional conflicts is likely to keep the market on edge in the near future.
