Solana (SOL) ETFs Break Records with $188M Weekly Inflows as Price Hovers Near $120

      TLDR

      • Solana (SOL) maintains trading activity around $119.54, repeatedly challenging the $120 threshold.
      • Spot Solana ETFs in the United States registered unprecedented $188 million in weekly inflows prior to a minor outflow recorded on September 30.
      • Technical chart analysis reveals a consistent upward trajectory from August bottoms, with critical support established near $105-$110.
      • The Relative Strength Index stands at 63.22 while MACD indicators show modest momentum deceleration.
      • Alpenglow protocol enhancement has launched on public testing environments, designed to dramatically reduce transaction finality times.

Solana continues to trade in proximity to the $120 threshold as market participants attempt to drive the token to higher levels following a robust recovery from its August floor prices.

SOL began October 1 trading sessions near $118.04. The token advanced to $119.55 during intraday trading before stabilizing around $119.54, representing approximately 1.25% daily appreciation.

The overall market structure continues to demonstrate strength. Solana has rallied from approximately $75 in August, establishing progressively higher swing lows throughout September.

The asset has successfully breached the $95-$100 range that previously served as a significant resistance barrier for most of 2026. This former resistance zone has now transitioned into a support foundation.

Market Participants Continue Challenging the $120 Barrier

SOL has made multiple attempts to surpass $120 during the previous week. However, a decisive daily close above this level has yet to materialize.

A confirmed breakout above the $120-$122 zone would establish a pathway toward $140-$145, price levels where SOL last traded before its earlier correction this year.

For downside protection, support is established around $105-$110. This range aligns with the ascending trend line that has provided stability since August.

Beneath this level, the $94-$100 corridor represents another critical support zone, given its previous function as resistance.

Momentum indicators remain constructive, though showing signs of deceleration. The daily RSI registers at 63.22, positioned above the neutral 50 threshold but below the overbought territory at 70.

MACD presents a nuanced near-term picture. The MACD line stands at 5.56 compared to a signal line of 5.64, with the histogram recording a slight negative value of -0.09.

These readings indicate the upward trend remains valid, though buying pressure is experiencing some diminishment near the $120 level.

Institutional Capital Remains Robust Despite Brief Reversal

Institutional accumulation continues to represent a fundamental driver in Solana’s market narrative. U.S. spot Solana ETFs recorded approximately $188 million in net inflows during the September 21-25 period, establishing a new weekly benchmark.

Bitwise’s BSOL product accounted for roughly $128 million of this total, representing approximately 68% of aggregate inflows.

The final trading day of that week alone captured close to $87 million. Capital inflows extended through September 28 and September 29, contributing $12.7 million and $5.4 million respectively.

This positive sequence concluded on September 30, when Solana ETFs experienced approximately $12.5 million in net redemptions. BSOL drove the majority of withdrawals with $8.9 million, though Fidelity’s FSOL product still registered $2.8 million in new capital.

Cumulative net inflows across all Solana ETF products stand near $1.6 billion since their market introduction.

Protocol developments are advancing concurrently. Solana’s Alpenglow consensus enhancement is currently operational on devnet and testnet environments, aiming to reduce transaction finality to approximately 150 milliseconds, compared to the current roughly 12.8 seconds.

Solana has additionally reduced its target slot duration from 400 milliseconds to 250 milliseconds, representing part of a comprehensive initiative to enhance transaction processing velocity.

SOL is preserving its ascending daily pattern near $119.50, with market participants working to convert the repeatedly challenged $120-$122 zone into sustained support territory.
