The yield on 10-year gilts in the United Kingdom has surged to 5.527%, marking the highest level since 2007. This increase reflects ongoing shifts in the bond market as investors respond to economic conditions and monetary policy changes.
In addition, the yield on 30-year gilts has climbed to 6.047%, the highest it has been since 1998. These rising yields indicate a significant change in investor sentiment and expectations regarding future interest rates and inflation in the U.K. economy.
