Analyst: Bitcoin "Apparent Demand" Still Negative, Weak Spot Demand May Cap Upside

PANews, October 1 - Crypto analyst Darkfost said on X that he is continuing to monitor Bitcoin demand. Data shows Bitcoin's "Apparent Demand" currently stands at -112,500 BTC, indicating spot market demand remains insufficient.

Darkfost noted that although the demand indicator remains negative, it has improved compared with -207,000 BTC on September 20. During this period, Bitcoin ETFs cumulatively absorbed roughly 28,000 BTC, helping drive a recovery in demand conditions. Against this backdrop, a slight pullback in Bitcoin's price cannot be ruled out as the market seeks actual buying demand.

It is understood that the apparent demand indicator is calculated by comparing Bitcoin's new issuance with changes in supply that has not moved for more than one year, and is used to gauge whether structural market buying is sufficient to absorb the network's new supply.
