Balancer community releases "Fork and Rebirth" proposal, with MAXYZ leading an official fork

PANews reported on September 22 that the Balancer community has released a "Fork and Rebirth" proposal, under which MAXYZ would lead an official fork to continue the protocol. Regardless of whether the shutdown proposal passes, liquidity, the team, partners, users, and intellectual property can all migrate to the fork. In principle, the pools and treasury will operate until the end of Q2 2027. The remaining roughly 6 million uncirculated BAL tokens can serve as pre-fork funding; if a TGE event occurs after the fork, the Balancer treasury will receive 10% of the new token's fully diluted valuation in advance. The forked entity will receive a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to Balancer's relevant intellectual property. The proposal is still in the discussion stage and may be revised based on feedback before a Snapshot vote.
