RWA Foundation Reports $6.2 Billion Tokenized Credit Market Amid Holder Growth

The RWA Foundation has announced that the tokenized credit market has reached a valuation of $6.2 billion as of October 1, 2026. This figure represents a slight decline of 2.8% from $6.35 billion reported on July 3, 2026. Despite the decrease in market cap, the number of unique holder addresses has increased by 12.1%, reaching a total of 28,840, indicating a growing interest in onchain credit products.

The report, published on October 4, 2026, highlights a sector characterized by 64 distinct assets from 13 issuers across 16 different blockchains. Maple Finance experienced the most significant drop in market cap, losing $402.7 million, which accounted for a substantial portion of the overall decline. However, Maple also saw the largest increase in new holders, adding 2,160 addresses, which represented approximately 69% of the sector's net growth.

In contrast, Hastra and USDai reported strong performances, collectively adding $372.5 million in market cap. Notable growth was seen in Hastra’s PRIME and USDai’s sUSDai, which increased by $195.9 million and $176.7 million, respectively. The report indicates that concentration remains a key feature of the market, with two issuers, Tradable and Maple Finance, controlling over 60% of the market share.

The increase in holder addresses suggests a trend towards broader adoption of tokenized assets for credit and financial services. However, the report cautions that while the growth in addresses is promising, it does not necessarily reflect a corresponding increase in unique users, as one individual can manage multiple wallets. This highlights the need for careful monitoring of market dynamics and liquidity across the diverse range of assets.
