Bybit Unveiled a New Stage in the Development of Its Financial Platform

      • Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou unveiled the company’s growth strategy beyond the cryptocurrency market.
      • The platform launched trading in more than 1,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs, and is preparing to roll out tokenized mStocks in partnership with Mantle.
      • Bybit is also expanding its payments infrastructure, AI-powered services, and access to traditional financial markets.

Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou presented a new phase in the company’s transformation from a crypto exchange into a full-service financial platform. He also spoke about Bybit’s expansion into traditional markets, new products, and partnerships.

The update was unveiled during the latest semiannual “Online meeting with Ben” keynote titled Make Your Move. During the presentation, Zhou discussed the convergence of financial markets and the company’s approach to growth amid these changes. Incrypted was informed of this by the company.

“This time, the presentation went beyond the usual studio format and took place live in front of an audience. Together with invited experts, Ben discussed the transformation of the financial sector, new technologies, and products shaping the next phase of Bybit’s development,” the statement read.

Four Years of TradFi Growth: Stock Trading and the Upcoming mStocks Launch

Four years after entering traditional finance with contracts for difference (CFDs) in 2022, Bybit has become the largest crypto platform for trading these instruments, according to the company. Peak trading volume reached $100 billion, the statement said.

On October 12, Bybit took the next step in the traditional finance segment by launching stock trading for users who meet the established requirements.

They now have access to more than 1,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs. Trading is conducted in USDC, with support for fractional shares and a 24/5 mode. Users can trade during pre-market, the main session, and after the U.S. stock market closes.

In addition, Bybit, together with Mantle, is developing mStocks — a tokenized, stock-based product scheduled to launch in November 2026.

According to the company, mStocks will be backed 1:1 by the underlying shares. Support is planned for 24/7 conversion between the corresponding securities and mStocks on Bybit, as well as trading on decentralized exchanges via automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pools on the Mantle network.

Convertible mStocks are also expected to be transferable to Bybit’s Unified Trading Account (UTA) and used as collateral for trading, subject to the applicable terms.

In June, the company launched IPO Express, giving eligible users access to selected IPOs at the offering price via tokenized representations of the underlying securities. The first asset available through the service was SpaceX. IPO Express is designed to expand Bybit clients’ opportunities beyond the secondary market and provide access to select primary market instruments.

The new services complement Bybit’s existing products, including perpetual contracts, pre-market tools, FX, and options.

Bybit’s TradFi lineup on the platform currently includes more than 600 products, covering stocks, ETFs, indices, commodities, and FX pairs.

TradFi perpetual contracts trading volume has surpassed $180 billion. Among the company’s latest launches are FX perpetual contracts and options on perpetual contracts. According to Bybit, the latter became the industry’s first options product based on TradFi perpetual contracts.

Bybit also continues to develop new perpetual instruments linked to AI compute infrastructure and commodities. This is expected to broaden the product selection beyond the traditional crypto market.

      Platform expansion in payments

In addition to trading and investing, Bybit is building out its payments infrastructure to give users more ways to manage their funds. Bybit Pay and the Bybit Card support crypto and fiat transfers, merchant payments for goods and services, and everyday purchases.

Bybit’s payments ecosystem currently connects users with more than 5,000 merchants across more than 15 countries. It also supports transfers to bank accounts and e-wallets, QR payments, and other payment services.

According to the company, Bybit has already issued more than 4 million payment cards. This expands the platform’s capabilities beyond financial markets and enables its services to be used for everyday spending.

      Security and regulatory infrastructure

The platform’s expansion is accompanied by investments in security, compliance, and technology infrastructure, the press release said.

According to Bybit, in the first half of 2026, the company blocked more than 30,000 suspicious withdrawal requests. This helped prevent potential user losses of more than $700 million.

Throughout 2026, Bybit also obtained five new licenses and regulatory approvals in the European Union, the Cayman Islands, Indonesia, South Africa, and El Salvador.

According to company representatives, these permits support the further expansion of its presence in international markets in line with local regulatory requirements.

In September, Bybit launched Bybit AI — an AI assistant for trading, account management, and user support. The company plans to continue developing the product as part of a broader ecosystem of financial services.

“The main thing for Bybit is to give users the speed and scale they need to make their move. We have brought together trading, investing, payments, and AI, and we continue to add new markets and new ways to interact with them. We built the platform. Now our task is to give people the financial freedom to make their own choices and act,” said Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou.

      Beyond the crypto platform

Four years after entering traditional finance, Bybit is bringing crypto tools, stocks and ETFs, derivatives, commodities, FX, access to selected pre-IPO opportunities, payments, and AI-powered services into a single ecosystem, the statement said.

The company is focused on integrating these areas into a unified platform, while continuing to expand market access, its product lineup, and its technology infrastructure.

At Bybit, the development of a new financial platform is seen as the next stage of the business transformation, which involves moving beyond the cryptocurrency m
