Centrifuge Verifies 1,589 Properties of Core Protocol Using Certora Prover

Centrifuge has successfully verified 1,589 properties of its core protocol, utilizing the Certora Prover to enhance its security framework. This verification is crucial for a protocol that focuses on on-chain asset management and real-world asset infrastructure, as it ensures that the code performs as intended consistently. The verification documentation is dated October 2026 and was conducted by independent researcher Alex Zoid.

In addition to the verified properties, the verification process included an analysis of 1,445 mutants, which are intentionally modified versions of the code. This aspect of the verification serves as a stress test, ensuring that the verification rules are robust enough to identify potential flaws. The verified properties specifically address the protocol's core logic, which facilitates fund distribution, portfolio management, and the enforcement of investment mandates across multiple blockchain networks.

This verification is part of Centrifuge's broader security strategy associated with its V3 series, which spans various releases throughout 2026. Each version of the V3 series has focused on different functionalities, including scalable multichain distribution, multi-asset portfolio management, and enforceable investment mandates. While formal verification adds a layer of security, Centrifuge continues to rely on audits from firms such as BurraSec, Sherlock, and yAudit, as well as ongoing security reviews and a bug bounty program to maintain the integrity of its system.

The significance of this verification extends beyond Centrifuge itself, as it addresses the challenges faced by real-world asset protocols in gaining the trust of traditional finance stakeholders. While formal verification demonstrates that the code meets specified properties, it does not encompass every aspect of the system, such as integrations and off-chain processes. Therefore, Centrifuge's commitment to comprehensive security measures remains essential in the evolving landscape of on-chain asset management.
