Crypto ETFs Record $5.5 Million in Net Outflows on October…

US-listed spot cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds recorded approximately $5.5 million in combined net outflows on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, as modest Bitcoin inflows failed to offset withdrawals from Ethereum and Solana investment products.According to ETF flow data compiled by Farside Investors and CryptoETF.today, Bitcoin funds attracted $23.2 million, while Ethereum ETFs lost $26.1 million and Solana products reported approximately $2.6 million in redemptions. The combined figure covers these three cryptocurrency categories rather than every US-listed digital asset investment product. Solana's total remained provisional because some fund-level reports were outstanding. The session marked a substantial slowdown from October 19, when Bitcoin ETFs attracted $526.7 million, their strongest daily inflows since September 22. The latest figures highlight divergent investor positioning, with Bitcoin continuing to attract capital while Ethereum and Solana products experience sustained selling pressure.

BlackRock Leads Bitcoin Inflows After Monday's Surge

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) recorded $29.9 million in net inflows on October 20, accounting for the majority of positive Bitcoin ETF activity. Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) added $3.6 million, while Bitwise's Bitcoin ETF (BITB) experienced $10.3 million in withdrawals.Other tracked Bitcoin funds reported no net movement, producing a category total of approximately $23.2 million. The result represented a sharp decline from Monday's $526.7 million inflow, when BlackRock's IBIT attracted $665.2 million. That earlier demand offset $83.6 million in redemptions from Fidelity and $54.9 million from Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust.Despite Tuesday's slower pace, Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $549.9 million in combined inflows across the first two trading sessions of the week. The positive result contrasts with the preceding period of institutional withdrawals, including $261.4 million in Bitcoin ETF outflows on October 14. However, daily ETF flows measure net share creations and redemptions rather than total secondary-market trading activity.

Ethereum Extends Outflow Streak as Solana Weakness Persists

Ethereum ETFs recorded $26.1 million in net withdrawals on October 20, marking their fifth consecutive negative trading session.BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) accounted for the largest outflow, losing $33 million. Fidelity's Ethereum Fund (FETH) attracted $3.6 million, while Grayscale's Ethereum Mini Trust (ETH) recorded $3.3 million in inflows. Those subscriptions partially offset BlackRock's redemptions but failed to return the category to positive territory. The latest result followed Ethereum ETF withdrawals of $103.3 million on October 19, bringing cumulative outflows across the five-session streak to approximately $388.9 million.Solana ETFs also remained under pressure, reporting approximately $2.6 million in net withdrawals. The result followed $6.7 million in Solana ETF redemptions on October 19, indicating continued weakness in demand for the smaller cryptocurrency investment category. Across the broader digital asset ETF market, CryptoETF.today reported approximately $13.8 million in net withdrawals on October 20 when additional cryptocurrency products were included. That wider total reflected selling in products linked to Hyperliquid and NEAR, partially offset by inflows into Zcash-related funds. The difference illustrates why cross-asset ETF totals depend on the products included in each dataset. For investors, October 20 demonstrated that positive Bitcoin flows do not necessarily translate into broader cryptocurrency ETF demand. The next sessions will help establish whether Bitcoin's renewed inflows can persist while Ethereum and alternative cryptocurrency funds continue facing redemptions.
