SK Hynix completes 40 trillion won share buyback

PANews reported on October 21, citing Yonhap News, that following Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix's large-scale share buyback also concluded on the 21st. SK Hynix said the company completed a two-month, 40 trillion won share buyback on the Korea Exchange (KOSPI) that day. Previously, SK Hynix announced it would spend 40.0434 trillion won to buy back 24.07 million company shares and cancel all of them after the buyback was completed. The buyback shares account for about 3.3% of the company's total issued shares, making it the largest share cancellation operation by a Korean listed company. SK Hynix's originally announced buyback period was from August 20 to November 19, but the actual buyback was completed about a month ahead of schedule.
