Devcon 8 Scheduled for Mumbai from November 3-6, 2026

The Ethereum Foundation has announced that Devcon 8, its flagship developer conference, will take place in Mumbai, India, from November 3 to November 6, 2026. This marks the first time the event will be hosted in India, a country recognized for its rapidly growing technology ecosystem and a developer community of over 17 million GitHub contributors.

The conference is expected to attract between 10,000 and 12,000 attendees, featuring more than 600 sessions across various stages, workshops, and community hubs. In addition to the main event, ETHIndia, a companion event, will occur on November 4, coinciding with the Diwali festival, further emphasizing the significance of the timing.

The Ethereum Foundation's decision to host the conference in Mumbai aligns with its strategy to engage with local Ethereum communities, including organizations like ETHMumbai and Polygon. The ticket pricing reflects a commitment to inclusivity, with general admission tickets ranging from $499 to $999, while local residents can purchase tickets for as low as $149, verified through Aadhaar and zero-knowledge proof technology. Students and ecosystem contributors will benefit from even lower prices, ranging from $25 to $99.
