Goldman Sachs Reports Chinese AI Companies Reach Nearly $5 Trillion Market Value

Goldman Sachs has revealed that Chinese AI-related companies have generated a market value of nearly $5 trillion since the beginning of 2025, a period referred to as the "DeepSeek Moment." This surge in value is attributed to significant increases in stock prices and initial public offerings (IPOs) of these companies. Currently, AI stocks represent 42% of the total market capitalization in China's A-shares and Hong Kong stock markets, while accounting for 57% of the total trading volume in these markets.

The report highlights China's pivotal role as a key exporter in the global AI supply chain, with the country holding approximately 50% of the global market share in specific sectors related to AI power and infrastructure. As domestic AI technology continues to advance, China has been developing an internal circulation AI value chain that integrates advanced semiconductors, large language models, and various application layers. This development positions China as a significant player in the global AI landscape.
