Li Auto's Chip Subsidiary Seeks Financing Valued at 15 Billion Yuan

Mach Intelligent Cores Limited, a subsidiary of Li Auto, is progressing with its first round of external financing, aiming for a pre-investment valuation of approximately 15 billion yuan. The company plans to raise several billion yuan to support its operations. Established in Hong Kong on July 14, Mach Intelligent Cores has also set up Shanghai Mach Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Mach Heart Technology Co., Ltd., with key leadership from Li Auto's technical team.

The subsidiary's workforce includes around 200 employees focused on AI computing architecture, chip design, and related software development. It is currently advancing two self-developed chip projects aimed at vehicles and cloud applications. The Mach M100, the first chip developed by the team, has already entered mass production and is being integrated into several new or updated vehicle models launched this year. Additionally, a cloud inference chip is under development, utilizing a data flow architecture.

In the broader context, the domestic semiconductor sector in China saw financing reach approximately 162.7 billion yuan in the first half of this year, with AI computing identified as a significant area for investment. For comparison, NIO's chip subsidiary, Anhui Shenji, completed its first financing round of 2.257 billion yuan in February 2026, achieving a post-investment valuation of nearly 10 billion yuan.
