Lido: MetaMask Staking Has Nearly Completed Exiting Its Lido Validators, Exited ETH to Re-enter Lido in Coming Weeks

PANews reported on October 6 that Lido stated on X that, following last week's infrastructure investigation, MetaMask Staking has nearly completed exiting its Lido validators, and the process occurred without incident. The exited ETH will continue to re-enter the Lido protocol over the coming weeks. Lido said the operator disclosed the issue in advance and acted quickly, minimizing the impact on stETH holders.

As the final batch of validators completes its exit, the stETH annualized yield stands at 2.23%, reaching or exceeding levels seen since August. Lido noted that stETH rewards come from a diversified mix of more than 600 independent node operators, so the precautionary exit of a single larger operator has a limited impact on total rewards; the shortened Ethereum entry queue also allows newly staked ETH to earn rewards sooner. MetaMask Staking will publish a full post-mortem report in the coming weeks.
