Soneium Plans to Support On-Chain IP Asset and License Registration Standard ERC-8432
PANews, October 6 - Soneium, incubated by Sony and Startale, announced it is advancing IP standardization and intends to support the on-chain IP asset and license registry (ERC-8432) as one of the open standards in this field. ERC-8432 was published on Ethereum Magicians on September 28, aiming to provide a common interface for AI agents to interact with tokenized IP.
Soneium noted that AI agents can discover, remix, and reuse creative works within seconds, but merely holding an IP token does not tell the agent what it is allowed to do. ERC-8432 enables rights holders to register tokenized IP and attach license terms, allowing AI agents to verify authorization and obtain the agreement in a single transaction, achieving "register once, license everywhere."
