Strategy Holds Steady at 845,050 BTC After Recent Purchases

Strategy, the company formerly known as MicroStrategy, has reported no Bitcoin transactions over the past week, maintaining its holdings at 845,050 BTC. This amount constitutes approximately 4.024% of Bitcoin's total capped supply of 21 million coins. At current market valuations, this position is valued at around $66.3 billion, compared to a total cost basis of approximately $63.73 billion.

This pause in activity follows a significant purchase period for Strategy, which acquired 4,603 BTC during the week of August 24-30, spending about $369.7 million at an average price of $80,318 per coin. This marked the end of a 10-week hiatus from buying, with Executive Chairman Michael Saylor announcing the company's return to accumulation on social media.

Earlier in the summer of 2026, Strategy sold approximately 6,900 BTC, likely to fund preferred stock dividends and share repurchases. The company currently holds around $6.71 billion in cash reserves and operates with zero net leverage, indicating that it is not compelled to sell Bitcoin to meet financial obligations. Strategy's substantial Bitcoin holdings highlight its evolution from a traditional enterprise software firm to a publicly traded entity focused on cryptocurrency investments.
