Moore Threads Stock Hits Historical Low Amid Share Restrictions
On September 8, 2026, Moore Threads, a leading graphics processing unit (GPU) manufacturer in China, experienced a significant decline in its stock price, which fell over 10% during early trading. The stock reached a new low of 371.17 yuan before recovering slightly to 380.76 yuan, representing an overall drop of more than 8%. The company's market capitalization is currently valued at approximately 179 billion yuan.
The decline follows a previous day when Moore Threads' stock hit a 20% limit down, causing its market value to dip below 200 billion yuan. This downturn coincided with the lifting of restrictions on 25.7745 million shares from the company's initial public offering's offline placement, which occurred on September 7. A representative from Moore Threads indicated that this large-scale lifting of restrictions contributed to the stock's volatility and urged investors to maintain a rational perspective, emphasizing that the company's fundamentals remain stable.
