Robinhood Chain Achieves Record $944 Million in Daily DEX Volume
Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 blockchain that launched just two months ago, has reached a remarkable milestone by recording $944 million in daily decentralized exchange (DEX) volume. The network has been experiencing significant trading activity, with volumes consistently climbing throughout August as traders engage with a variety of assets, including memecoins and tokenized stocks.
The peak trading day occurred on August 30, when the chain recorded approximately $875 million in DEX volume and over 5.5 million transactions. Earlier in the month, trading volumes approached the billion-dollar mark on multiple occasions, surpassing a previous high of around $878 million set in mid-July. This rapid growth highlights the chain's increasing popularity in the decentralized finance space.
A substantial portion of the trading activity is facilitated by Uniswap, with its v4 and v3 versions accounting for $432 million and $357 million of the August 30 volume, respectively. Additionally, the token launchpad Pons has contributed to the network's activity by minting over 22,600 tokens on the same day. Among the most actively traded tokens is CASHCAT, a memecoin that has driven speculative trading on the platform.
Robinhood Chain distinguishes itself from other Layer 2 networks by incorporating tokenized real-world assets. On August 25, trading of these assets reached a daily record of $85 million, with popular stocks like NVIDIA and Apple leading the transactions. In less than two months, the cumulative DEX volume on the Robinhood Chain has exceeded $47 billion, showcasing its rapid ascent in the blockchain ecosystem.
