Short-Term Bitcoin Holders Increase Holdings to 4.08 Million Coins

Cryptocurrency analyst Axel Adler Jr has reported that short-term holders of Bitcoin now possess approximately 4.08 million coins, marking the highest level since mid-June. This figure represents an increase of about 422,000 Bitcoins since a low recorded on July 29, reflecting a growth rate of approximately 12%.

In the first two weeks of October alone, short-term holders added around 154,000 Bitcoins, with an additional 48,000 coins acquired in the past week. New market entrants have primarily purchased Bitcoin at prices ranging from $82,000 to $86,000. Currently, the average cost for these short-term holders stands at about $74,900, indicating that the unrealized profit margin has narrowed from 16% to approximately 10%.

Adler highlighted that the $74,900 mark serves as the breakeven point for this group. Since August 20, Bitcoin prices have consistently remained above this threshold. Should prices dip below this level, it could lead to unrealized losses for short-term holders and potentially increase selling pressure in the market.
