Solana Foundation Postpones Shanghai Event Due to Oversubscription

Lily Liu, chair of the Solana Foundation, announced on October 16 that the upcoming Solana event in Shanghai will be postponed due to an overwhelming response from the community. The event, which was initially planned to take place following a light show on the Citibank building in Lujiazui on October 14, saw registrations quadruple overnight, far exceeding the venue's capacity as reported to local authorities.

In her statement, Liu expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the Chinese community and emphasized the foundation's commitment to accommodating all interested participants. The decision to postpone the event was made to ensure compliance with local regulations and to provide a better experience for attendees. Liu extended her apologies to those who traveled from various locations to participate in the event. The Solana Foundation plans to reschedule the event for a later date when it can adequately accommodate the larger audience.
