VanEck BNB ETF Sees $97 Million Inflow on First Major Trading Day

The VanEck BNB ETF, which launched on May 28, 2026, as the first spot exchange-traded fund in the United States to offer direct exposure to BNB, the native token of BNB Chain, reported a significant inflow of $97 million on Friday. This marks the fund's first major flow since its debut earlier this year, despite independent data not yet confirming this figure.

Trading under the ticker VBNB, the fund holds actual BNB tokens rather than futures contracts. As of early October 2026, VBNB had approximately $2.3 million to $2.7 million in assets under management, making the reported inflow particularly noteworthy. Daily trading volume prior to this inflow was around $13,800, highlighting the substantial impact of the new capital influx.

In response to the growing interest, VanEck has made operational adjustments, including appointing BitGo as a second custodian alongside Anchorage Digital Bank and naming Figment as a staking validator for the fund. The fund's objectives have also been updated to include staking as a secondary goal, with a 4% fee applied to staked assets. Despite strong metrics from BNB Chain, including 33 million monthly active users and $160 million in annual revenue, the ETF has not seen a corresponding increase in demand until this recent inflow.
