White House Official: Priority Is to Inventory and Secure Existing Bitcoin; No Specific Accumulation Strategy Yet

PANews, October 15 — According to Crypto Briefing, Patrick Witt, Executive Director of the U.S. President's Council of Advisers on Digital Assets, said on October 14 that the White House's current priority is to ensure the security of the government's existing Bitcoin and complete an inventory before considering expanding the Bitcoin strategic reserve. No specific purchase strategy has been formulated yet, and no timeline or imminent policy adjustments have been announced. The current framework requires any new coin purchase strategy to remain budget-neutral and not increase the burden on taxpayers.
