Dogecoin (DOGE) Golden Cross Forms as ETF Inflows Hit Three-Week Streak
TLDR
- Three consecutive weeks of inflows into DOGE ETFs increased total assets from $12 million to $16.2 million.
- The meme coin changed hands around $0.0946, roughly 20% higher than its $0.079 mid-September bottom.
- On September 30, the DogeOS public testnet became available for developers to experiment with payments, trading, and lending features.
- The daily chart registered a golden cross—the first occurrence since August 2025—as the 50-day MA moved above the 200-day MA.
- Market watchers identify $0.10 as the immediate target, followed by resistance around $0.106.
Dogecoin is hovering around $0.095 following a series of encouraging events that emerged throughout recent weeks. The rally didn’t stem from a single catalyst.

Rather, multiple developments have converged to support the upward movement. Consistent ETF capital flows, testnet deployment, and a meaningful chart formation have each contributed.
The DOGE ETF products recorded approximately $3.5 million in net inflows across a three-week span. Week one delivered $284,500, week two surged to $2.8 million, and week three contributed $327,360.
Aggregate holdings in Dogecoin ETFs expanded from roughly $12 million during mid-September to $16.2 million. While these figures remain modest compared to Bitcoin ETF volumes, the trend marks notable progress.

Capital Flows and Development Activity
For a product centered on a memecoin, three uninterrupted weeks of positive flows represents a departure from previous behavior. The pattern indicates sustained, albeit gradual, institutional interest.
The DogeOS public testnet launched on September 30, opening access for software developers. The environment enables testing of payment systems, decentralized exchange functions, lending protocols, and gaming applications built atop DOGE infrastructure.
Transaction costs within the testnet are settled using test DOGE tokens that carry no monetary value. DogeOS does not modify the core Dogecoin protocol; instead, it operates as an additional layer designed to expand functionality.
In parallel, Metallicus introduced DogecoinVM, establishing a bridge between Dogecoin and the Metal blockchain network. The initiative positions itself as a DOGE-compatible distributed ledger that accelerates transaction processing through instant settlement.
Technical analyst Crypto Patel highlighted a long-term price structure in a recent commentary. The analyst observed that DOGE has maintained a five-year ascending channel formation initiated in 2021 and successfully breached its multi-year bearish trendline established from the 2024 peak.
Crypto Patel noted that a breakout retest received confirmation in 2026, identifying the $0.08 to $0.06 zone as an accumulation range where demand has consistently emerged. The analyst outlined upside objectives at $0.28, $0.75, and $2.00, while setting the invalidation threshold below a two-week close beneath $0.065.
Technical Formations Highlight Critical Price Zones
The daily timeframe shows Dogecoin has achieved a golden cross pattern—the first instance since August 2025. This technical event occurs when the 50-day simple moving average rises above the 200-day simple moving average.

The previous golden cross preceded a climb toward $0.30 in September 2025. That advance proved temporary, with DOGE subsequently declining during an October flash-crash event to $0.09.
The current recovery originated from a trough near $0.06 registered in mid-August 2026. Price action has since reclaimed territory above both the daily 50-period and 200-period moving averages.
DOGE posted a 3.88% gain over 24 hours, touching $0.0962 around the time the golden cross materialized. The next barrier stands at $0.106, a price level where upward momentum stalled on September 22.
Momentum gauges have displayed balanced rather than excessive readings. The Relative Strength Index maintained levels above the neutral 50 mark, while on-balance volume expanded to approximately 154.31 billion in late September without subsequent deterioration.
Market participants are monitoring whether DOGE can firmly surpass $0.095 and $0.098 initially. A sustained move beyond $0.106 could establish a pathway toward $0.12, with $0.16 representing the subsequent target zone.
