27% Monthly Gains: Cardano (ADA) Outpaces Ethereum and Solana
Key Points
- Cardano (ADA) surged nearly 10% to reach $0.273 during Monday’s trading session.
- The price movement coincided with RealFi’s October 3 mainnet deployment, a platform supported by Charles Hoskinson.
- Futures open interest increased by 15%, reaching $614.98 million.
- Over the past 30 days, ADA has delivered 27% returns, exceeding both Ethereum and Solana.
- Market participants are monitoring the $0.260 threshold as critical support before potential advancement toward $0.30.
The Cardano network’s native token reached $0.273 during Monday’s session, representing an almost 10% increase within a 24-hour period following Sunday’s 6% advance.

This performance positioned ADA among the day’s top-performing major digital assets. Bitcoin maintained levels above $85,700, while Ethereum traded beyond $2,730.
XRP remained above $1.520 throughout the same timeframe. With the broader cryptocurrency market showing limited directional movement, Cardano’s advance attracted notable attention.
RealFi Mainnet Deployment Sparks Price Movement
The upward momentum aligned with the October 3 deployment of RealFi’s production network. This real-world asset platform has received backing from Charles Hoskinson, Cardano’s founder.
This development provided market participants with a fundamental catalyst beyond general cryptocurrency market dynamics. The platform introduces tangible use cases directly connected to Cardano’s infrastructure.
Market observers are also tracking Cardano’s scheduled presence at TOKEN2049 Singapore on October 7 and 8. Major industry conferences frequently generate heightened interest in participating projects’ token valuations.
In governance developments, the Cardano community voted down a treasury funding proposal for a Cardano Summit. Nevertheless, ADA has delivered 27% gains over the trailing month.
Network activity metrics have shown improvement. Total value locked across Cardano protocols expanded by 20% within five days, partially driven by FluidTokens incentive programs offering 6% ADA yields through December 31.
Market analyst Lucky (@LLuciano_BTC) commented on the price action, stating that in his view, ADA “is setting its tone for another parabolic run.” This observation captures prevailing optimism among traders monitoring the token’s recent momentum.
Derivatives Markets Signal Increased Long Positioning
According to CoinGlass metrics, ADA futures open interest expanded by 15% over 24 hours, climbing to $614.98 million. This metric represents the aggregate value of outstanding futures positions.
Funding rates turned positive during this interval, indicating that long position holders were compensating short position holders. This dynamic typically reflects growing appetite for bullish exposure.
Cardano’s performance has exceeded competing layer-1 platforms over the past month. ADA’s 27% advance compares favorably to Ethereum’s 10% increase and Solana’s 17% climb during the identical period.
Decentralized exchange activity on Cardano, however, has diverged from price performance. Trading volume declined from $11.74 million on October 1 to $5.72 million by October 5, based on DefiLlama statistics.
Trading at $0.2718, ADA maintains a position above $0.2632, a Fibonacci retracement threshold derived from the decline between $0.3136 and $0.1385. Sustained daily closes above this zone could establish pathways toward $0.30 and subsequently the previous peak near $0.3136.
An additional upside target exists at $0.3916, though this represents a longer-term objective rather than an immediate milestone. For downside scenarios, the 200-day exponential moving average positioned near $0.2472 represents the initial support zone.
Beyond that threshold, technical analysts are observing $0.2328, followed by $0.2260 and the 50-day exponential moving average at $0.2244. These price levels have historically attracted buyer interest.
As of October 5, ADA maintains trading activity above near-term support structures following the RealFi mainnet deployment and in advance of its TOKEN2049 Singapore participation.
